Senior Mock Interviews Getting Raves
Theatre Conservatory Seniors participated in an Interview Workshop on Friday, November 15. A panel of special guests hosted mock group interview sessions to prepare the Class of 2025 for their upcoming conversations with college reps.
A huge thanks to Sandy Duhe, Guild VP Guild, for facilitating the workshop and assembling an impressive list of guests.
The Theatre Guild is so grateful to our volunteer interviewers -- Emily Potts, Betsy Orton, Lily Weiss, Catherine Ramsey, Jenna Buckley, Doric Earle, Jamaal Wilson, Cherie Countryman, Sandy Duhe, and Alicia Schortgen -- for their time and investment in our theatre seniors.
Showcase Volunteer Opportunities
NEW this week for those who asked about purchasing and bringing items to Booker T!!!
There have also been NEW Volunteer positions added for those parents of 9-11th graders that want to come to Booker T on Friday November 22 & Saturday November 23rd to help out.
New roles were added to the sign up. We NEED more 9th-11th grade parent volunteer runners. (No actual running required but we do need people willing to help pick up supplies, escort reps within Booker T and basically fill in as needed.) Check the sign up genius OR Reach out to Sandy Duhe and Leah Mora via email if you would like to volunteer to be a runner during Showcase.
Coming Soon Sign Ups for Ten Minute Play Festival Volunteer Shifts for Feed the Kids, Concessions and Merchandise Sales.
Attention Parents of Seniors
Check out a NEW donation option this week
Please Sign Up to bring perishable items to Showcase. If you've been waiting to see what is really needed and you are available to bring items to school you can sign up for specific perishables like fruit that are needed. Or you may be way too busy but there is a Venmo option now to give money directly to Hospitality to make those purchases.
Any amount helps as she collects enough money to send all seven of our teachers home on Showcase Saturday with a prepared meal to enjoy with their family after a VERY long week.
Email Tamara Woodchek for more details about preparing the Hospitality Suite and Senior Lounge for Showcase.
Have You Read the Senior Showcase Newsletter?
On Friday Nov 8, a special edition of the newsletter went out to the families of Theatre Conservatory Seniors with details about Dress Rehearsal, Tech Preview and the Film Festival. If you missed it, you can use this link to Special Edition Senior Showcase Information
3 EVENTS THAT WELCOME SENIORS' PARENTS
Revised Dress Rehearsal Schedule on Thursday
Please check out the latest REVISED dress rehearsal schedule BEFORE making your plan to attend all or part of the day. As musical theatre parents know, a good accompanist can make a big difference. The Theatre Conservatory faculty want to set our student up for success so dress rehearsal timing has changed to make sure that the accompanist is available.
Morning rotation 1 is from 9:15am -11:15am is ALL acting (except Musical Theatre)
Morning rotation 2 is from 11:30am-12:45pm is playwriting & physical theatre.
Break for Lunch (kids eat at school)
Afternoon rotation 2:00 pm-3:15pm is for Musical Theatre
The Conservatory will re-confirm the schedule before Thursday and Tamara Woodchek will be communicating with the senior parents.
Open Invitation to Film Showcase on Friday 7-9pm
Don't miss the sixteen short films that are scheduled to be screened on Friday evening in the Montgomery Arts Theatre. All are welcome to attend.
Tech Table Preview on Friday 9:00 pm to 9:30 pm
The window of time may only be a half hour but there will be lots to see in The Commons. Make an evening of it and see the short films in the MAT before heading down to Tech Preview. And a gentle reminder to LOOK but do not touch. You will be seeing the displays that the seniors have arranged with the help of their junior buddies. All visitors are reminded that this now the time to celebrate all of the work that they have chosen to highlight.
What Happens During Theatre Showcase?
Theatre Showcase events start with an early Coffee for the Showcasing Seniors to meet with some of the College Reps in the Black Box Theatre on Friday November 22 and continue on through the afternoon on Saturday November 23. Theatre Students choose to showcase in one or more areas based on their areas of interest.
The only Theatre Showcase event that is open to the public (including parents of seniors) is the Short Film Screening on Friday in the MAT.

The Road to Greatness Continues After Showcase and Graduation
We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your Pegasus is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!
An all-new episode of The Voice airs tonight, November 18 at 9/8c on NBC. We've been waiting to cheer on Georgia Starnes (BTW 2020) in the Knockouts round and tonight is the night. Make sure to tune in, set your dvr to record or wait to stream her performance.
