The Theatre Guild’s mission is to support the Theatre Conservatory students and faculty at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Through programs, volunteerism and financial support, the Theatre Guild strives to provide the best possible academic and artistic experience as our children become scholar artists. The Theatre Guild is a 501(c)(3) organization completely managed by volunteers that are almost exclusively the parents or family members of current Booker T. Washington HSPVA Theatre Conservatory students.

Every Pegasus needs wings to fly. The Theatre Guild helps the students and faculty develop and spread their wings. The Guild is active throughout the year starting before students arrive on campus. During the school year, Guild volunteers assist the Theatre Conservatory beginning with Pegasus Pick Up and continuing throughout the year until the annual Senior Awards Dinner. Students get access to additional educational and artistic opportunities as a result of the Guild’s financial support & funding of specialized teaching consultants and other faculty enrichment requests. It’s not serious work all of the time. There is an End of Summer Bash welcoming our newest students & their families before the school year starts. Once classes begin, the Guild holds regular meetings as well as social & educational events. Parents & guardians are invited to get to know other families, learn about local theatre opportunities, and even plan for college applications/auditions. Theatre Guild volunteers also create spirit wear and yard signs that we sell. And of course the proceeds go towards our mission to support the Theatre students.
