Pegasus in the Wild!
Hannah Moore, 2022 Theatre Booker T Grad and now senior at USC, is the current director of Commedus Interruptus, the oldest comedy troupe at the University of Southern California. Hannah as a Freshman set a goal to audition for Commedus and become one of the select few to make it as a member; she achieved that goal - one of three that Commedus took Fall of 2022.
Commedus hails alumni throughout Hollywood and the entertainment industry; notably SNL alums Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney.
Commedus received an invitation to perform at NYC Sketchfest 2025. They perform at The People’s Improv Theater on Thursday, Oct 16 @ 7 pm. Hannah would like to invite any Booker T Pegasi alumni and friends of Booker T in NYC to come to Commedus’ performance at Sketchfest. Tickets can be purchased here:
The Digital Call Board has been updated with current audition information. Follow the link for auditions, assignments and relevant information for students.
Students are also STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to regularly visit the Campus Callboard on the second floor.

Free PSAT Testing Provided by DISD
What is the PSAT? The PSAT or Preliminary SAT is a practice for the SAT and potentially a pathway to scholarships. BUT only PSAT scores from 11th grade will qualify a student for National Merit Scholarship Program.
Who takes the PSAT at Booker T.? All 10th graders at Booker T take the PSAT free of charge during a school day in October.
Why would an 11th grader want to take the PSAT? IF a student is interested in trying to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program, they must take the PSAT when they are a junior to be considered. Scores from 10th grade will not be considered. See link to NMS program guide for ALL of the current requirements.
How do you make sure your student is registered to take the PSAT in October 2025?
According to the September 26 Pegasus Central all 10th graders are taking the exam free of charge. You should reach out to Amber Baker-Edwards about interested 9th or 11th grade students.
