Bravo and THANK YOU to all of the Theatre Guild Sponsors & Volunteers who made our season such a success!
The Theatre Guild will host the Theatre Conservatory Senior Dinner on Thursday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Commons. Adult Volunteers & Theatre Students (in grades 9-11) will be needed to set up the event, help during dinner, and clean up at the end of the evening. (Parents of seniors are invited to join the event and discouraged from volunteering.)
As the current school year is coming to a close, the Theatre Guild offers this look back at the Theatre Conservatory's 2024-25 Season. This season included more than 30 performances outside of the school day and would not be possible without the dedication of the Booker T Theatre Conservatory faculty. Our teachers spend their days, nights, and weekends focused on the Theatre Conservatory students. From the classroom to stage and from the wings to the catwalk our faculty help create the magic. Whether they are encouraging the playwrights to put words on the page or the designers to sketch out their ideas in order to fully develop costumes, props, scenery, lighting or sound; none of it would be possible without the small in number but mighty in output Theater Conservatory Faculty. Let these pictures serve as a small reminder of all that they do and be sure to thank them as the school year winds down.
As you all know, the Guild's purpose is to support the Theatre faculty and students. The Theatre Guild Board, its general members and numerous volunteers have shown up this year to help make these shows run more smoothly. That means many, many evenings of Feed the Kids Co-Chairs Ashley Gregory & Stephanie Ruibal organizing the meals & all the volunteers needed to get the food to the cast & crew quickly. Before shows and at intermission it was easy to spot Alicia Rico & April Riley selling concessions and merchandise alongside a cadre of volunteers. If you flipped through a playbill, you know that Playbill Chair Adam Mora and the Guild Playbill Design team had been hard at work. Big thanks to each of the Corporate and Individual Sponsors whose donations made so much of this possible. And to Community Development Chair Shelby Bobosky for her role in getting those sponsors interested in helping.
And of course a HUGE thanks to Jackie Cooper for all of the amazing performance photos.
We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your Pegasus is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!
Speechless, a one act play written and directed by Caroline Cooper (BTW 2027) will premiere on April 27 at 1pm at Life in Deep Ellum. Also look for the costume designs of EK Cook (BTW 2027).
