PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Big Thanks!
It was so great to finally see Big Love last week. Congratulations to all involved! Thank you to the donors and volunteers for concessions, merchandise, and Feed the Kids as well as our parent photographer, Jackie Cooper.
I've met so many new parents that are getting involved as well as returning parents that continue to pitch in. It's one of my favorite things about my role in the guild this year. Please take a moment and look at all the signups posted below for additional opportunities over the next few weeks.
Theatre never stops, of course, so students and staff are rolling right in to Ten Minute Play Festival morning rehearsals and the Fall Musical Theatre Performances begin next week. Don't miss your chance to place an ad in the Musical Theatre playbill due this Wednesday!
Senior parents, we are getting ready to support College Showcase. While volunteering during actual showcase days (November 17-18) will be done by underclassmen parents, there are other ways for you to be involved. Please check out the Senior section at the bottom of the enews to find out more.
Looking for a way to share your Gift of Time with the Theatre Guild? We arrange for food at most of the non-show Guild activities. Tasks include: ordering catering, picking up orders, or setting up meals at events. No cooking or donations required.... just any amount of your time that you can give. Times are flexible so these tasks work in the nooks and crannies of your life. NEXT UP: Senior Showcase on November 17-18 when we will feed 90+ college reps and 110 students!

3) to help make phone calls to follow up with college reps about attending Senior Showcase (non-senior parents only)

Congrats to the 10 Minute Play Casts
The Theatre Conservatory's 10 Minute Play Festival features twelve plays written by students and directed by members of the Senior Directing class. On Friday, the cast lists were posted on the call board. You can see the names of the student directors, stage managers, playwrights and actors listed below. Early today, the student directors began meeting with their casts. The 10 Minute Plays typically rehearse before school until tech week. This year the 10 Minute Play Festival will be December 5-8 in the Black Box Theatre.

We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your child is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!
If you are the parent or guardian of a Theatre Conservatory student you are invited to join the individual class Facebook group for additional information & updates about everything that is going on at Booker T.
All Facebook groups are private and you will need to provide your BTW student's name and answer the questions in order for your request to join to be approved.
SENIOR CORNER
Countdown to Showcase Week!
November 13 - 18
Choose Your Own Adventure
The Class of 2024 is unique. Their path through Booker T began differently than all that came before. We often hear "Fly High Pegasi" and there is no doubt that the class of 2024 is prepared to soar. Choose Your Own Adventure is the theme for this year's Theatre Senior Showcase decor in recognition that the trajectories of this year's seniors will undoubtedly reflect their varied interests and talents. If you are interested in volunteering to help set up before Showcase, we will be at Booker T on Thursday November 16 from 5 to 7pm. Reach out to the Theatre Guild's Senior Committee Chair Kathy Gameros kgameros@sbcglobal.net for other ways you can help before Showcase. (Senior parents are not allowed to volunteer at the Theatre Conservatory events or in the Theatre Guild Hospitality rooms.)
Friday November 10th is the DEADLINE for SENIOR YEARBOOK RECOGNITION ADS! You can use the direct link to Jostens to purchase and create a senior yearbook recognition ad.
