2025-26 Theatre Guild Board

At the May Theatre Guild Board Meeting, the slate of candidates was approved by the current members of the Theatre Guild Board per the bylaws. There is a mix of returning members and new faces. We are currently in the process of filling two open positions for the 2025-26 Board. If you feel called to serve on the board please reach out to our returning President Alicia Schortgen president@btwtheatreguild.com  In addition to the open Treasurer and Showcase Communications Chair positions, there will be many opportunities to serve on Theatre Guild Committees or as a volunteer.

Thanks to our outgoing Theatre Guild board members!

Thanks to everyone who served on the 2024-25 Theatre Guild Board and as volunteers. The Theatre Guild works due to the dedication of those while are willing to spend their time and provide their expertise whether it is for one year or many, many more. We dug through our archives to celebrate some of the Theatre Guild events beginning with the Class of 2025's freshman fall through this spring!

It was so good to see you!

It was wonderful to see our parents of seniors celebrating their four years as Pegasi parents (or more for those parents who are celebrating their second BTW student graduation.) Special shout out to Ms Price who is not only a second time parent to a soon-to-be grad, she is also a BTW alum! Fly high Pegasi!
While our photo may feature the senior parents in attendance, we'd like to thank everyone who came to our year end meeting/social at Bucket & Rope. It was definitely more social than formal meeting and a great way to cap off the school year. The Guild is beyond grateful to The Ruibal family for generously sharing not only their amazing restaurant but also the incredible history of the building it occupies. Many attendees were overheard making plans to return so if you were unable to attend, you should make a point to check out Bucket & Rope at 600 S Harwood Street Dallas, Texas 75201!

We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your Pegasus is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!

You can submit information to 2024-25 Communications Chair Kathy Gameros through the end of her service and then keep using the same email to reach 2025-26 Communications Chair Heather Guild

Peagsi at Soul Rep Theatre's Ain't No Mo'

Soul Rep is presenting the North Texas premiere of the AIN'T NO MO’ written by Fort Worth native and celebrated playwright and television writer/producer, Jordan E. Cooper. The production premiered on Broadway in 2022 and was nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Play. Through a blend of sketch, satire, avant-garde theatre and a dose of drag, Ain’t No Mo’ answers the incendiary question: What if the United States government offered Black Americans one-way plane tickets to Africa?

Want to spot a pegasus in the wild? Look for Co-Director / Theatre Conservatory Head Guinea Bennett-Price and Keelyn Singleton (BTW 2024) in the role of Peaches.
