MT students interested in continuing in the Musical Theatre program for the 2026–2027 school year must re-audition. The Musical Theatre Department is made up of BTW students from all conservatories who share a love of singing, acting, and dancing. Open to rising juniors and seniors only, the Musical Theatre Ensemble is a fun, dynamic, and selective group of performers. If your child is ready to challenge themselves, grow as an artist, and take the stage again next year, we can’t wait to see them at auditions!
For questions about BTW Musical Theatre or ways to help support upcoming productions, please contact Shelley Kirby at sykintx@gmail.com.
Pegasus in the Wild!
Isabella Good (junior in theatre) is playing Mayella Ewell in The Core Theatre's production of To Kill a Mockingbird, which runs through February 15th.
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
Dramatized by Christopher Sergel. From the book by Harper Lee
To Kill a Mockingbird is a coming-of-age story narrated by a young girl named Scout Finch, who lives in the fictional town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the 1930s. The novel follows Scout, her brother Jem, and their widowed father, lawyer Atticus Finch. While Scout and her brother are fascinated by their reclusive neighbor Boo Radley, Atticus takes on the defense of a Black man, Tom Robinson, who is falsely accused of raping a white woman. The trial reveals the Deep South's deep-seated racism, and the children learn about prejudice, morality, and empathy through these events.
