VERSUS! at Stomping Ground

According to Stomping Grounds, VERSUS! isn’t your typical improv competition. Two teams go head-to-head in improv short-form games and even sillier physical events, but the real battle is against the absurd, the unexpected, and the sheer ridiculousness of the challenges. Sure, there are points–but the points don’t matter–because a spin of the wheel and the team players might swap and even trade scores! This is VERSUS! – a celebration of pure, unadulterated comedic mayhem.

VERSUS! features a rotating cast of Dallas’ best improvisers: Peyton Reed, Brandon Enriquez, James Johnson II, Parker Coppins, Keith Jordan, SJ Richman, Hayden McGovern, Hannah Sligar, and Daniel Foster. VERSUS! is directed by Greg Mihalik.

The November 22 show features special guests Myles Schortgen and Ruby Garza!

Rated T for Teen (Parental Discretion Advised). Ticket prices are $10 (plus fees) in advance and $14 at the door.

Class of 2026
You made it to Showcase Week!!!

What do Theatre Seniors do During Showcase?

All of the actual Theatre Showcase events occur on Friday November 21 and Saturday November 22. The students' schedules depend on what area or areas they have chosen to showcase in. ALL Theatre Conservatory seniors are expected to participate in Showcase. This schedule for Seniors makes it easy to see everything going on including when the Theatre Guild will be feeding Showcasing Seniors & their Junior Buddies.

What is a Junior Buddy?

A Junior Buddy is a pre-selected 11th graders that helps a Senior showcasing in Technical Theatre. The Junior Buddies are expected to be at school on Showcase Saturday from 8am until approximately 2pm (Buddies help take down their senior's display after the Tech Showcase.)

Who takes Theatre Masterclasses?

All Juniors and Seniors in the Theatre Conservatory and Seniors that are part of the Film and Musical Theatre programs sign up for Masterclasses. If a student is participating in the Playwriting & Physical Theatre Showcase, they will take three masterclasses on Friday morning before Showcase. Students that are not involved in that Showcase will have two additional afternoon Masterclass opportunities.
