PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Last Week Before Break

I think we are all ready for the Holiday Break!

Congratulations to our Theatre Conservatory students that participated as cast and crew for Strut this past Friday.  It was my first time in attendance and I loved the energy in the audience and on the catwalk.

This afternoon is the Holland Elementary Angel Tree party. Thank you to all of you who bought gifts to give the family of 8 a Christmas celebration to remember.  We also could not have made any of this happen without the coordination by Terra Wortley and the volunteers last week and today. If you purchased and wrapped a gift on your own, please make sure it is labeled and at school before 2:00 today.

I continue to be overwhelmed by the cooperative and giving nature of our Theatre Guild family.  Thank you for making this job so enjoyable and rewarding.  Working with you all this semester has been a delight and I look forward to nothing less next semester.

Fly High, Pegasi!

Exam Period Information

Assessments of Course Performance or ACPs will be December 19-22. ACPs and semester exams count for 15% of the semester average. Please note the latest bell schedule for the week of December 18. Note that Friday, December 22 is the ONLY early release day.

Construction Crew for Midsummer

Students on the Costume Construction Crew for Midsummer Night's Dream will be working from 4:30pm to 6:30pm this week due to exams.

Pegasus in the Wild

We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your child is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!

You can submit the information via Facebook or contact Communications Chair Kathy Gameros via email communications@btwtheatreguild.com

Strut

Strut may be a Dance Guild fundraiser but the Theatre Conservatory was well represented with student fashion line designers, models and lighting designers. Congrats to Theatre student fashion designers junior Audrey Buehler (Escape the Matrix), and seniors Maia Anchia (Oh's Enrichment), Evie Danielson (Wildflowers), Bella Frankenfeld (Roy G Biv by Bev), and Zackary Sanchez (Zakano Style).  Models included Jeffery Baker, Nadia Besir, Adam Bravo, Tallulah Buss, Mattix Casas, Max Casas, Mary Cathryn, Molly Grace Chakery, Zenora Collier, Hayden Elliott, Isabel Gameros, Josiah Gamino, Evan Kathryn, August Kennedy, Elliot McEachern, Tanisha Mitra, Chloe Mongelli, Sofia Reyes, Zak Sanchez, Dream Williams, and Aspen Zavila. And Lauren Thompson's lighting design was also on display. Kudos to all! The Dance Guild members were excited about another VERY successful fundraiser!

SENIOR CORNER
Choose Your Own Adventure.

Some seniors are done making their college decision, others are waiting on aid or decisions but many are still in the process of applying and/or auditioning. Senior fall has been careening along like a high speed roller coaster. No matter where they are in the process, hopefully each of our hardworking Seniors will have a chance to relax over winter break before they return to school to start their final semester of high school at Booker T.

Don't forget, to check out the btwclassdecisions2024  Instagram to see where your classmates will be headed.
