Back to School Dinner and Meeting
If you haven't already purchased your dinner ticket for our Back to School Dinner, there is no time like the present! We look forward to socializing and letting you in on all that the Theatre Guild will be doing to support the Theatre Conservatory this year. It's our first general meeting of the year and your engagement is crucial to our success as an organization, so join us! Ticket link is below.
Hopefully you were able to support our talented theatre students this past weekend in the PTSA's production of Hairspray. They worked hard behind the scenes, entertained on the stage and took care of the audience as part of the house crew. Haven't seen it yet? There are still 5 more shows this week!
Join us on Tuesday for the Theatre Guild's Annual Back To School Dinner Meeting and Social. Mix with parents from every grade level and find out how to get involved this year as a volunteer and/or financially. You will hear from Guinea Bennett-Price, Conservatory Director, on the latest theatre news and from Tonya Perkins about the Advisory board grants and scholarships. This event also serves as the Guild's September General Meeting. Tickets are available for purchase at the door for $25
Communities Foundation of Texas’ NTX Giving Day is a once a year online event designed to support local nonprofits like the Theatre Guild on a single easy-to-use platform.
When is NTX Giving Day 2023?
North Texas Giving Day is September 21 BUT early giving began September 1 so you can donate anytime between September 1 and September 21.
Who can tell me about NTX Giving Day?
Corporate Sponsorship & Fundraising Chair Rhonda Thompson is spearheading the Guild's 2023 NTX Giving Day campaign.
The Theatre Guild has big plans for NTX Giving Day. You can hear more about it at the Back to School Dinner on September 12th or on social media. There are already some posts and the NTX Giving Day team has planned a take over of the Guild's social media to share stories about why your donation will make a difference. And if you really cannot wait, early giving is open, just click on the link to Theatre Guild of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts donation page.
Looking for another way to help? Until Thursday, September 14, you can nominate a nonprofit to receive part of a $50,000 donation from SCHEELS. Ten nonprofits will receive $5,000. It's easy to nominate the Guild at: bit.ly/NTXGivingDay-SCHEELS (please make sure to use the link to make your nomination )

Name of Nonprofit Organization: Theatre Guild of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts
Friday, September 15th is the last day to order! All shirts will be distributed after the 18th and delivered to each conservatory.
Pegasus in the Wild
We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your child is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!
If you are the parent or guardian of a Theatre Conservatory student you are invited to join the individual class Facebook group for additional information & updates about everything that is going on at Booker T.
All Facebook groups are private and you will need to provide your BTW student's name and answer the questions in order for your request to join to be approved.
