CLASS OF 2022 - The Celebration began last week and ends at Graduation on June 1, 2022.
Congratulations to each of our 63 Theatre Conservatory Seniors. You amaze us with your talent, passion, resilience and creativity. Keep in touch and always, always, always remember to -- Fly High Pegasi!

SENIOR AWARDS DINNER
The Theatre Guild along with Theatre Faculty, Consultants, Alumni, and Families honored our Theatre Conservatory Seniors on May 19, 2022. It was a night full of Laughter, Light, Celebration and a little Magic!
THEATRE GUILD SCHOLARSHIPS
The Theatre Guild presented five Theatre Conservatory Seniors with scholarships, totaling $8,000.00.
Louise Smith Scholarship - Named in honor of the founder and first director of the Booker T. Theatre Cluster in 1976 through 2008.
The Four Recipients of this prestigious scholarship are:
Zoe Gameros, attending the University of Texas at Austin to study Radio, Television and Film.
Jae Smallwood, attending Pace University in New York to earn a BFA in Acting.
Hannah Moore, attending University of Southern California to major in Theatre with an Acting Emphasis and a minor in Cinematic Arts.
Olivia King, attending Boston University in the Design & Production track in pursuit of a BFA in Theatre Arts.
KARON COGDILL SCHOLARSHIP
Named in honor of Karon Cogdill, who taught at Booker T. for 44 years, retiring as the Theatre Conservatory Director in 2021. Ms. Cogdill was, and remains, passionate about "leveling the playing field" and this scholarship is intended to honor that passion.
The Sole Recipient of the Karon Cogdill Scholarship is Gavin Yi, attending Northwestern University with plans to obtain a BA in Theatre, and pursuing a sequence in acting and module in screen acting.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY SENIORS Must pay Cathy Vernon $20 cash for NHS Stoles for Graduation (distribution at Graduation Rehearsal)
MAY 28 JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM - "MET GALA Enchanted Through Time" 2616 Commerce Event Center in Deep Ellum from 7:30pm – Midnight Tickets on sale May 9th - May 25th
MAY 31 - BACCALAUREATE * (Sponsored by BTW PTSA) 7:00pm @ First United Methodist Church Seniors - Please arrive in your caps, gowns, tassels, and cords by 6:15pm
JUNE 1 - Graduation Rehearsal Time: 12PM @ The Meyerson Symphony Center

The WIZ will be directed by Theatre Conservatory Director, Guinea Bennett-Price, who was also the Original Dorothy in Booker T.'s 1989 production of The Wiz.
