BOARD SPOTLIGHT - Karen Post - Membership Chair

Hello everyone. I am Karen Post and work with our BTWHSPVA Theatre Guild Membership. This is my second year working with Membership, and I look forward to helping for the 2022-23 year. Our youngest daughter is Emily, and she is a junior in the Theatre Guild. Emily is also a visual artist and loves working with costume design as well as ceramics, drawing, and digital art.

Our oldest daughter, Elenor, is a junior and attends the Savannah College of Art & Design(SCAD) in Savannah, GA. In addition, I volunteer with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (GSNETX) as a Gold Award Liaison.  When our oldest went to college along with my Girl Scout troop, I knew I wanted to continue to help in some way.

When Emily started school at BTW, I became interested in finding a place to try to volunteer here also.

Volunteering, for me, is a way to support not only my children with their pursuits and interests, but it also is my small way of giving back to the community. Helping others is something I love to do, and I always say I receive back more than I give.

The 2022-23 school year is our daughter’s last year at BTWHSPVA, and I cannot believe how fast these years have flown. I will be sad to leave the school, but it will always remain a part of our family. We will continue our support in whatever capacity we are able as we truly love Booker T!

Reach out to Karen Post (KLDJEEP4167@ICLOUD.COM) with any questions about your current Membership Level and Perks.
