BOARD SPOTLIGHT - Aletha Kruse, the Guild's PTSA Liasion, Guild Photo Point Person
Aletha, along with her husband Tim, also provide valuable sweat equity and technical support in our Guild Events!
Hi my name is Aletha Kruse, I’ve had the pleasure to be part of the theater guild for the last five years. My oldest daughter graduated last year and now attends Depaul University. My son Jacob is now a freshman at BTW in the theater department.
I’ve always had a passion to volunteer wherever I was needed, starting when I was just at a high school and volunteered for the Navy. Once my children came along, I found volunteering with PTAs and different booster clubs a way to connect with parents that my children were friends with as well as a community of people that supported me, because they were going through it with me.
In the last 13 years, I have volunteered as homeroom mom, Fall festival chair, book fair chair, VP fundraising, President, and Treasurer. While I’ve been at Booker T. Washington, I started in the guild as a Treasurer when Faith was a freshman. I’ve held the position of Treasurer, President, Vice President and PTSA liaison for the guild. On the PTSA side I was the Treasurer and Vice President.
Throughout the years I have come to meet some of my very best friends. We are all united with one purpose, and that is to support our kids and have fun while we’re doing it. I can’t wait to continue supporting the guild throughout the next 3 years in whatever capacity I can!
WE WANT YOUR PHOTOS!
