Over Spring Break, take a few minutes to send in your photos taken of Theatre Conservatory students this school year (2021-2022)
Guild is collecting photos of Theatre Conservatory students to keep in a centralized location accessible to our Theatre Community.
If you took or have photos from Booker T. Theatre Conservatory events and performances you are willing to share, would you forward them to Guild Board Member Aletha Kruse at: alethamkruse@gmail.com
Booker T.'s Visual Arts Conservatory is hosting a Visual Arts Market at Sammons Park (across from the school). Drop by and check out and purchase the amazing work of our Visual Conservatory students.
Take a moment too to drop by the Theatre Guild booth for news about upcoming Spring Activities, upcoming volunteer opportunities, to pick up Merchandise, and just to say Hello. If you'd like to volunteer to help set up or tear down the Theatre booth, please reach out to Rhonda Thompson via text: (214) 507-5122 or email: btwtheatrepresident21@gmail.com

TEXAS HS MOCK TRIAL STATE CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to the 2022 BTW Mock Trial Team for their first place finish in the 43rd annual Texas High School State Mock Trial Competition. Over the course of the competition, more than 150 teams from across the State of Texas participated with only 24 teams advancing to the State level. During the two day tournament, every BTW student lawyer/witness competed in all six rounds (lasting two and a half hour each) before being named the State Champions. The BTW team that competed on March 4 & 5th included four returning Texas State Champions: senior lawyers Abby Chapman & Zoë Gameros, senior witness Connor Ortiz as well as sophomore lawyer/witness Isabel Gameros. They were joined by newcomers Jordan Clark (courtroom artist), freshmen Maxine Louthan (lawyer/witness), and Erin Mansour (timekeeper), as well as junior Claire Taylor (witness). Although unavailable for the 2022 State Competition due to her role in the UIL show The Revolutionists, Senior Arden Carethers competed in the early rounds of the DISD regional qualifiers in January. The team’s teacher advisor is Satchel Victory and Abby Mathews served as the attorney advisor. Notably, all of the mock trial lawyers and witnesses are members of the Theatre Conservatory.
The BTW Mock Trial team will take on a completely new case and fact pattern when they represent the State of Texas at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in May 2022.
