Congratulations to the 2022 BTW Mock Trial Team

Congratulations to the 2022 BTW Mock Trial Team for advancing to the DISD quarterfinal round on Thursday, January 27th.  Courtroom artist Jordan Clark, a junior in the Visual Arts Conservatory, placed first among all DISD courtroom artists and will be advancing directly to the Texas State Mock Trial 2022 competition. This year's team includes five returning Texas State Champions: seniors Arden Carethers, Abby Chapman, Zoë Gameros, Connor Ortiz, and sophomore Isabel Gameros. They were joined by newcomers Jordan Clark, freshmen Maxine Louthan, and Erin Mansour, as well as junior Claire Taylor.   Satchel Victory returned as the team's teacher advisor as did Abby Mathews in the role of attorney advisor.  Notably, all of this year's mock trial lawyers and witnesses are members of the Theatre Conservatory.

Break legs at Quarterfinals!!!

Senior Corner

Senior year at Booker T. comes with a variety of celebratory, fun activities. Examples include Prom, Baccalaureate, Senior Picnic, Senior Breakfast, and Senior-Faculty Volleyball Game. Paying into your Senior Funds helps the PTSA with the advance planning needed to schedule these activities.

It’s not too late to contribute to the enjoyment of senior year! Suggested donation is $35 each year for Freshman through Junior years and $90 for senior year, however, if another amount better suits you, we welcome all contributions!  Please contact Rebecca Ordinario at btwsr2022@gmail.com or 214.418.9043 to find out how much you still owe.  Thank you in advance for helping make our senior last year amazing.
