PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Back to Big Love!
Now that Fall Break has ended and previews have passed, we are gearing up for opening night of Big Love in the MAT this Wednesday, October 18. Tickets for the 18-20 can be purchased on Membership Toolkit using the link below.
For those of you wanting to get more involved in the guild, we have volunteer opportunities to help out with concessions/merchandise/Feed the Kids for Big Love and phone calls for non-senior parents to help with senior showcase. In addition, Amy Buehler is looking for members to get involved with all things Hospitality. Read on to learn more.
Break a leg to all involved with Big Love. I can’t wait to watch!
Looking for a way to share your Gift of Time with the Theatre Guild? We arrange for food at most of the non-show Guild activities. Tasks include: ordering catering, picking up orders, or setting up meals at events. No cooking or donations required.... just any amount of your time that you can give. Times are flexible so these tasks work in the nooks and crannies of your life. NEXT UP: Senior Showcase on November 17-18 when we will feed 90+ college reps and 110 students!
Interested in learning more? Contact Amy Buehler at 214-208-8167 or akbuehler@gmail.com.

Pegasus in the Wild
We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your child is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!
Check out the blog post by one of the student interns in the Norma Young Advanced Learning Lab. Senior Ella Prieto wrote a piece which was recently featured on Theatre Three's blog T3 Writes. Check out T3 Writes using this link.
Learning Lab is a collaboration between the Theatre Conservatory and Theatre Three. Spots in the class are offered to a limited number of seniors based on auditions and interviews held in spring of their junior year. If Ella's post makes you want to see Learning Lab instructor Lauren LeBlanc in Lizzie, the show runs through October 29. Tickets are available here Use this link to buy tickets.
Little Women
You can spot Booker T sophomore Eli Brothman onstage in Little Women which is being directed by Booker T parent Terra Wortley. The show is dedicated to former Theatre Conservatory Director Karon Cogdill, who was also an active part of the arts at First United Methodist Church, including directing, acting and stage management for the Rotunda Theatre and as a member of the Chancel Choir. Little Women runs Nov 2 - 5 and tickets are available on EventBrite using this link.
Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors
If you are the parent or guardian of a Theatre Conservatory student you are invited to join the individual class Facebook group for additional information & updates about everything that is going on at Booker T.
All Facebook groups are private and you will need to provide your BTW student's name and answer the questions in order for your request to join to be approved.
