PRESIDENT'S CORNER
Three Day Week
I've decided to cancel our October 10 General Guild Meeting due to conflicts with Big Love previews starting that same night and such a busy load for our staff BUT I will be at the PTSA meeting that same evening and will hang out afterwards to answer any burning theatre questions you might have or just to say hello.
There are some members waiting on merchandise from their membership benefits. If I contacted you about this and you opted for Big Love pickup, that will not be happening during previews. I expect to have the merchandise for you by opening night, October 18.
Other highlights for this short week (see newsletter body for details):
Big Love tickets are on sale via membership toolkit
10 minutes play festival morning auditions
Phone volunteer opportunity
Enjoy this short week and our fall break October 11-16.
Feed the Kids will be starting the 2023-24 program by feeding the cast & crew of Big Love. Big thanks to the Marquis family for providing dinner and dessert on Tuesday October 10th.
Please reach out to Ami Edge or Ashley Gregory at feedthekids@btwtheatreguild.com if you would like to sponsor a future Feed the Kids meal for the entire cast & crew.
Big Love comes to the MAT
The Theatre Conservatory's first show of the year will kick off with two Pay-What-You-Can Preview Shows on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th at 7pm. After Fall Break, Big Love will be opening on Wednesday October 18th with 7pm nightly performances through Friday October 20th. Tickets for October 18-20 are $10 Student and $15 Adults.
Donations for Previews and General Admission Tickets performances may be purchased at the door OR in advance using this link to purchase tickets.
Auditions for 10 Minute Plays
Auditions for the 10 Minute Play Festival are being held before school from 8-9am on Monday October 9- Wednesday October 11th. If you have not signed up for 10 auditions please use this 10 Minute Audition link or check the callboard! Be prepared to provide a list of all conflicts between October 17th to December 8th (morning and afternoons).
Pegasus in the Wild
We don't want to miss an appearance or accomplishment! We rely on our guild members to let us know where to spot a Pegasus in the wild. If your child is in a non-Booker T production, please let us know. Our talented kids are so busy we need your eyes and ears to make sure we get the word out. Please include viewing dates, ticket links and any other details that will help us spot a Pegasus in the Wild. Alumni are Pegasi as well so keep those tips coming in too!!!
If you are the parent or guardian of a Theatre Conservatory student you are invited to join the individual class Facebook group for additional information & updates about everything that is going on at Booker T.
All Facebook groups are private and you will need to provide your BTW student's name and answer the questions in order for your request to join to be approved.
